The Stax Music Academy is in full swing preparing for our in-person Summer Music Experience 2022. Students will enjoy collaborative music opportunities, live performances, off-site learning, choreography training, audio engineering, filmmaking, songwriting, and more.
This will all culminate June 25 with a Grand Finale tribute to 1972’s Wattstax concert at Overton Park Shell.
The Summer Music Experience will take place May 31 – June 24, 2022 and is open to all 6th-12th graders. Auditions are required and will be held on Saturday, May 7th, 10 am – 3 pm. You can schedule an audition by emailing smaprogramming@staxmusicacademy.org.
