Live In Studio A Summer Series with 926 Stax Music Academy Alumni Band

Experience the soulful energy of Memphis as the Stax Museum of American Soul Music proudly presents the 926 Stax Music Academy Alumni Band during our Live In Studio A: Summer Series!

The 926 Stax Music Academy Alumni Band features talented singers and musicians who graduated from the world-renowned Stax Music Academy and are now attending college, building careers as professional musicians, and performing on stages across the country and around the world. Alumni have appeared at venues and festivals including New York City’s Lincoln Center, Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center and Smithsonian Museum Festivals, Australia, Italy, England, France, Germany, and right here in Memphis at the Overton Park Shell, B.B. King’s Blues Club, and Memphis in May.

Founded to support recent graduates on their musical journey, the 926 Alumni Band showcases a dynamic lineup of organ, bass, drums, guitar, horns, and powerful vocalists carrying forward the legacy of soul music.

The Live In Studio A: Summer Series held on Tuesdays in June is FREE for Shelby County residents – just bring a valid ID and enjoy the music as part of our weekly community admission program.
